OSRC, EnterpriseDB collaborate on Open Source Database Management System Training Program

The OSRC conducted a 2-day, free-of-cost Open Source Database Management System Training Program using PostgreSQL, a powerful, open source object-relational database system, in collaboration with EnterpriseDB Corporation, USA. 

The workshops were conducted in: 

  • Islamabad, 29-30 June 2009, at Muhammad Ali Jinnah University
  • Lahore, 15-16 July 2009, at the University of Central Punjab (UCP)
  • Karachi, 10-11 August 2009, at Sir Syed University

The OSRC gratefully acknowledges the services of Muhammad Ali Jinnah University, Sir Syed University, and the University of Central Punjab (UCP) for volunteering their respective computer laboratories and premises for the workshops’ duration. 

Almost 150 participants represented their companies/organizations/universities in the training workshops. They included 110 Solutions, Adamsoft International (Pvt.) Limited, Beaconhouse School System, Chief Minister’s Secretariat, Sindh; Confiz Solutions, Creative Chaos, CureMD Corporation, E-Government Directorate (EGD), First Punjab Modaraba, Folio3 (Pvt.) Limited, Folio3 (Pvt.) Limited, Genetech Solutions, Habib Bank Limited, Haroon Textile Industries, Islamabad Club, iTack Solutions, Marine Fisheries Department, Mehran University, National Book Foundation, National Clearing Company, National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), Pakistan Air Force, Pakistan Steel Mills, Punjab University College of IT, Survey of Pakistan, Tenpearls LLC, Pronet (Pvt.) Limited, and UET Peshawar.
